Lol this shit is hilarious. High school is competitive for those who are competitive. Your average Joe who gets average grades is not there, instead it is these kids who are taking every AP class in the book to get over a 4.0 while doing crazy extracurriculars to even get into (what I consider) subpar but well ranked schools.
Example it still takes a 4.1 and a pretty amazing SAT to get into UCSB which is a far reach from the top of California.
Furthermore going to a regional college is far different than going to a world renowned top university where everyone is trying to get the best grades possible. Not only this but kids are taking college classes during high school to try to get a leg up on others when it's now because standard practice. Moving on college is extremely competitive for those who want to try and go beyond. Don't say high school is easy blah blah, yes it can be but that's probably because you weren't one of these hyper competitive kids
Qualifications: graduated UCLA and now applying to law school which is 10 times more competitive than all of those.
