If that is what happened, I'm kinda conflicted. On the one hand, I don't want pushy salespeople spoiling what should be an area for enthusiasts to discuss our rides (not that I thought Carlos was one of these; just saying). But on the other, actually having sales people join us on the forum allows for an open, honest conversation you can't get in the dealerships, and the typical salesmen B.S. tactics don't fly here. Heh, some of the best reading I've had this whole year was somewhere on this site when Subaru of Las Vegas decided to join up, and address some accusations against their dealership. Our BRZ-purchasing brethren tore that poor man a new hole, and quite frankly he deserved it.  |
I had only read Carlos's most recent post, which was the list of cars available. I saw that post in it's own thread in the vendor section (fine by me), but I don't think it's right to hijack someone else's thread with that post, which was beginning to happen in this thread - nor should that post be a simple cut and paste plastered in multiple threads. This is most likely why all the posts disappeared.
Did Carlos ever offer up more neutral or unsalesman-like conversation in other threads? I never had a chance to look...
