Does it work off 6Volt too? That would mean convenience of integration with the Toyota86 head unit. Does it have a wire to cut to remove the guidelines?

Not sure about the 6 volt issue, I have installed a couple of reverse cameras in to a few different vehicles (including my FRS) and have not had any issues with power off the main head units. There is no guide lines to speak of since this particular camera is designed for the BRZ head unit and that has guide line built in to it.

I am not clear from the pics but it looks as if the video cable does not go inside the light.

There is a "notched" slot in the upper portion of the lens, just below and behind the camera itself. That is where you route the cable through. The cable does not go in to the light housing itself but in to the slot provided.
