It's peaky even with the variable valve timing which is why there are so many complaints about the torque dip. I know about the aftermarket tunes and such but, from the factory, considering emissions requirements, fuel economy goals, their wide target market, I stand by my statement. It took some balls to go with as narrow a power band as they did.
