As others have already said, driver's skill can make up for what a car lacks in performance. If this is really just for fun than make it just for fun and drop the $500 bet. Get yourselves to an auto-x or HPDE. Put the money into a car payment.
I already put that we are going to go to an event instead it sound like more fun. It would be safer, and after talking about it with my friend we dropped the 500dollor bet. because I think we're both guna lap each others cars and then lap out own to take the variable into consideration. Kinda like that one guy who reviewed the s2k and frs. That way we test the cars not just ourselves cause there close on power, so I think it might realy come down to skill. Anyways it's still guna be a couple months or so before it happens. I'll keep you guys updated. We will not be racing on public roads !!
