Uber actually isn't in Portland due to really old and outdated regulations. It's launching in Hillsboro and all the other cities surrounding Portland but I don't think that's happened yet. Definitely check though when you're here, they'll just start service up when they're ready. Luckily, I live in Vancouver across the River and we've had it since July! Many a drunk nights already where Uber has taken me home.
