Ok. I'm about to ask two very lazy questions because I really don't feel like pulling a wheel off of my BRZ.

Just received by winter tires on steelies from TireRack. They came with small, open-ended lug nuts. I don't really want to use open-ended lugs as I want to protect the studs from rusting. I suppose if all else fails, I could just smear a bit of grease on the protruding studs every so often.

Q1: The lugs that came with the steelies are the tapered (not rounded) base lugs. Are the stock lugs on the BRZ tapered as well? (I have a Series.Blue, which has different wheels, so maybe that's difficult for most of you to answer offhand, I dunno.)

Q2: I assume the stock lugs are not to be used because they aren't deep enough to properly seat against the thin steelie. Can someone point me to a nice set of black lug nuts on Amazon that will be deep enough for my steelies, and that I can maybe use for the stock wheels come spring if they do indeed have the same base style?

Bonus Q: Why the hell doesn't the spare tire require separate lugs if the stock ones bottom out?!
