Can't answer the poll because I just got the car but I know the tires that are on it suck in the cold, found that out this morning. I've been trying to figure out what to do for winter tires for the last few days. I have a set of 17" wheels I can use but I agree with the reasons for 16's. Would a 205/50/17 be enough bump in sidewall height to notice a difference with a softer winter tire or is the extra 1/2" really that significant if I go to 205/55/16? Either way I figure I have a week to figure it out before something has to be done.
As hilly as it is where I live I think that if I don't put 100+ pounds in the rear I'll be walking home a bunch of times. We'll see...
