As the sticky in the PCMO forum at bitog says,
"There is no BEST oil!".
For the street, flip a coin an use any API SN/GF5 0W-20 oil. Be careful what you read at bitog though. Motor Oil University was written by a plastic surgeon and some people in the industry say it has a lot of errors.
Neither Valvoline VR1 nor RP HPS are API certified, but I would probably go with RP HPS 5W-20 if I hit the track. These cars see high oil temps at the track. There was actually a recent very funny thread about which oil to run in the 86 (well one of the last responses was funny). "Cujet" FTW!

I take my 0W-40 M1 recommendation back OP. Stay with the OEM recommended 0W-20 oil in your brand new car, don't bother with an oil cooler, let your oil temp climb, and enjoy your track days. Make a few high RPM downshifts, and don't worry, the ECU's programming will keep your engine completely safe.
