My impression is that it is more important to change the oil regularly than the brand of oil used. That is not to say that some oils hold up better over time but if one is changing the oil sooner rather than later then the oil doesn't have time too start breaking down. My car approx 27k kilometers, 6 oil and filter changes. Diff and gearbox at 21k kms.
