Your head is in the right place but you're very risk adverse...

To start out there's no way to boost the stock FA20 completely eliminating the risk of catastrophic engine failure. Naturally Aspirated FA20's fail due to oiling issues. Spend some time here and read up.

5-6psi is "safe" (in my opinion, based on my reading of threads here) but won't get you anywhere near 400whp. Making reliable power at those levels and above means putting in new rods, making oiling system and cooling modifications.
