I liken it to a bottle of wine. There are folks that prefer a bottle of 20 year aged wine at a price point of $175, and people that prefer a box wine. The basis is the same (it's wine!), but there are other complexities at play that some will notice while others will not.
The more important factor here is the overall detail. If the vehicle isn't prepped correctly, the final treatment (the wax) will be for naught. Then it won't matter if you're crazy enough to spend $10K+ on a Wax Marble. The job will still look like crap.
