That sounds about right. Think about how much time is gained/lost in long medium/high-speed turns: t1, t2, t3, t8. Not to mention the impact a little extra downforce will have on your grip at t1, t3, the cyclone/bypass, and t9.

Sure, power will help you coming out of 12 and coming out of 15. And you can use it to compensate for lower corner speeds in some cases. But I think there are more places (and more time to be gained) where you can save seconds with grip/aero than with pure power.
