You would think so but it isn't the best option. Even ignoring the obvious compatability issues and fab work you would need to do, it's just not very cost effective. A pull out EJ25 would cost what, 3k minimum? probably closer to 5 or 6 for a full longblock (found a "longblock" on ebay, clearly a shortblock). Then you'd have to completely redo the turbo routing, oil routing, wiring, vac lines, exhaust, and probably motor mounts and bellhousing as well. Then when you're done you have an engine making 300hp using 10 year old technology.
As crazy as it sounds, forged rods and pistons plus any off the shelf turbo kit would probably give you better results for less cash.
