My 5 year old sits behind me with his fee to the left and the right of my seat. It works, for now. I am 5'11" and this is comfortable for me.
My other son will be born in a few weeks and will go on the other side. A normal sized adult won't fit in front of this. I tried sitting in the seat to test it out and my knees touch the glove box door. It would only be good enough for short (<15 minutes) trips.
I was going to buy the 2013 sti buuuut 10k more was not doable at the time.
