I feel like octane booster is the biggest waste of money in situations like this. At places like AutoZone, it's usually somewhere between $10-15 for a tiny bottle, and it doesn't exactly bring the average octane rating in the tank up by a whole lot. I almost bought some when I accidentally put in 89 in my Evo, but when I was at the AutoZone down the street and looking at the prices, I thought why not just put 100 octane... it's the same (or less) money, but for a whole gallon. Obviously not every station has 100 octane, but you're bound to find one in the civilized world.
