I agree, the whirrling noise at idle does sound like a bad ground on a stereo but that's not uncommon. My buddy had a factory supercharged 2003 Mustang GT that sounded the same. As for the howl, I imagine that's at above 3,500 RPM or so right, or do you perhaps have an air intake system that exacerbates the noise?

I personally love the charger whine when I step on it, but my exhaust headers are pretty loud so that kind of overpowers everything else

Well, torque doesn't really start building up past stock numbers until 2,500 rpm. 3,300-3,500 rpm is where the torque starts to flatten out. So yeah, below that it should feel like stock.

I've seen Zach from Delicious say that an intercooler is a must with smaller pulleys. Also that a 69 mm pulley with intercooler and E85 should make somewhere around 300 whp, so that's something to aim for.

I will say that even with an intercooler on the stock 75 mm pulley that the kit does not make my car feel like a high displacement torquey V6. Overall, torque and power are still relatively low when compared to modern V6s. It's definitely not like a 3.5+ liter displacement V6, the low and mid-range powerband aren't punchy. Instead I would say that the kit makes the car feel more like the older low displacement V6 engines, such as an E36 325i or VR6 motors. The motors that require you to really wring them out. So still not a lot of power and torque, but still good enough to pass people on the freeway or to be lazy with your shifts

Oh, I just remembered something. What ecu map are you running? If you're not changing your map each time you start up your car then the default accelerator setting is set to "soft". This map I guess was intended for better fuel efficiency and smoother (laggy in my opinion) throttle response and acceleration. The accelerator trim options for each map should be as follows; soft, standard, sport and drag. I believe these settings were introduced in tune version 8.65. Every time I get in my car I have to set the map back to standard, because I can't stand the soft setting.

Here's how to switch maps.

I wish "standard" was the default setting instead of "soft". I mean, standard as a default setting makes sense right?
