i have 18x9.5 +38 with 255/35s and I don't rub, but i'm corner balanced so i'm not low at all.. but even when i was lower (no gap) with 265s all around i didn't rub on anything, unless i went over a hard bump going pretty quick

Sounds like at 4 mph whatever you're hearing is not the wheel rubbing.
