Okay so a serious post now, I really am sick and tired of "NEXT GENERATION" threads. I just saw another one today on a 86/frs/brz facebook page... With a video I will embed below.

According to the moron presenting the "show" (he really is a moron, watch..) Toyota says the FR-S will need to go through a "life cycle of refreshes" hmmmmmmmm life cycle of refreshes... life cycle of refreshes... that being the key sentence. I'm sure everyone knows how long the Impreza GD platform was around, and it's three nose jobs. Same with the GC8. And even the GR platform has been marketed for 6 model years...

So for the love of god don't expect anything soon.. love what we have. It's like we can never be happy with what we have right now Always wanting the next thing. Slow down, breath a little, live a little, appreciate a little!

P.S. when the next gen does come out, don't be all OMG MUST BUY IT NOWWWWWWWWWW. Wait a year. The first model year might still use the FA20 we have now, and before I get flamed for saying that look at the 15 STI still running the ancient EJ series engine, it's slated to get the fa20dit in 2016 - one model year later. Look at the 2010 V6 and GT mustangs, in 2011 they got vastly better V6's and a brand new 5.0.... one model year into new body style... just food for thought
