Different regulations in different countrys may mean that my FR-S in the U.S.A. may have a different sensor(s) or more or less parts on the engine due to differing emission requirements. That would mean there is a mechanical difference although subtle.

Still I want to re-state I do not know for a fact, what if any actual differences there are between U.S. and Euro 86s.
