It's the mission where you try to find the entrance to the Hive or something, with the dead guardian at the door. Don't kill the knight or it'll start the next segment. Also if you get the "kill two enemies with the fusion rifle" bounty, go here, repeat this respawn maybe 2-3 times and the bounty is done in a few minutes.

Thanks, I just ran through the Summoning Pits twice, pretty much got me to my count. Your method would definitely have sped the process up.
With that being said, I still don't have the weapon yet. Now I've got to earn 500 kills using Void damage in the Crucible. Great. It's going to take me forever, especially considering my only Void weapon is a rocket launcher.
