I'm seeing bigger height and width dimensions for the Coyote vs. LS3.

(LS3 on top)

LS3: 27.5" long (including flywheel), 23.62" wide, 25.25" tall
Coyote: 24.62" long (not including flywheel), 29.05" wide, 28.9" tall (includes engine cover)

Like vs. like (without flywheels, without engine covers), looks like the Coyote is about in inch shorter in length, 4.4" wider, an inch or so taller (engine cover doesn't look to add more than a couple of inches over the top of the intake plenum).

So the 5.0 is nearly 25% wider than the LS3. But length/width/height doesn't tell the whole story. For sure the Coyote occupies a lot more of its LxWxH box volume than the LS3 does.

The Alpha platform is much smaller than the Zeta platform. The Camaro is, underneath, a G8 Coupe. The next generation Camaro is going to be probably a hair bigger than an ATS Coupe. I imagine, with the car physically shrinking a bit, the weight will remain the same.
Yeah, that sounds about right (though IMO it *should* be smaller than the ATS). I didn't mean to suggest that the next Camaro will be bigger and heavier than the current gen, only that the new Mustang being so big and heavy will influence the direction of the next Camaro in a bigger/heavier direction. I.e., it will end up bigger and heavier than it would have been if the new Mustang had been significantly smaller and lighter-weight.
