I had my chirping fuel pump replaced recently because:
1. I find it very annoying to have to listen to
2. Add mine to the list of documented replacements in the hopes that if there's enough complaints Toyota will do something about it
This issue seems to be on a case by case basis, but for what it's worth I haven't had any chirping yet with the revised part # fuel pump.
