If you just want to quiet down cold start you only rearly need to reduce the amount of ignition retard applied and maybe drop the rpm down, the maf tables are not rearly needed its just a nice to do part. did a trhead on tune tweeks its linked in the OFT TIPS thread below
its mainly the amount of ignition retard applied that increases the noise levels. reduce that from -15 to -4 or even 0 and the noise is gone.
