Being able to carry all my gear concealed in the car is one big reason I bought my FR-S. I use a Roland synth - my regular gig rig includes two 1x12 cabs (stock closed, ported Boogie Mk I w/EVM, and GK MB112) plus a Vox Night Train head for guitar, a Crate Power Block for the synth, 2 guitars (Carvin DC727 and ESP 7), 2 small gear cases and a Roland GR20. All are in padded gig bags. The trunk closes without difficulty and the seat remains up.

In a gig bag, I can carry either my archtop or my flattop instead of the 2 SBs - but a hard case will not fit across the trunk. As I don't have a synth pickup on either of them, I only need one cab (Boogie or Raezer's Edge 10" bass cab) plus the Vox head or a Crate PB for jazz or "acoustic" gigs.
