Oil filter is stuck. I've always hand tightened my oil filter on all my previous oil changes and never had oil filter stuck and can't get it off. I've spent 2 hours trying to get it off with bare hands and then elastic bands around the filter to get more grip.

I've tried turning it when the car is warm and cold and still won't budge. It's somehow stuck so tight, which is weird because it doesn't feel like hand tight anymore. I'm not sure if it's because it's a Toyota brand oem filter as the Toyota dealership where I get my oil change parts switched from Subaru to Toyota oil filters.

Any recommendation to remove this stuck filter? I think I might have to resort to using oil filter wrench, hoping it won't leave a mess.
