I'm 63 and love my BRZ. I have a bad back, but I find the seats are great: just the right amount of lumbar support, and very supportive around the neck.

But yes, it can be challenging to get out of. I have learned a couple of tricks. First, its a lot easier to get out of the car if you can get the door opened all the way. And being a 2-door coupe, these doors are fairly long. So I look for a parking place that gives me plenty of space to open the door. Second, push down and brace yourself on the lower door frame as you get out; that takes the pressure off your back and knees.
