A lot of Porsche customers that plan to track their new car actually get the analog damper option. PASM is for luxury, ride, street comfort. I think it's the same case with other sportcars that offer some sort of PASM...the track heads will almost always downgrade (or upgrade in their eyes) to the analog shocks.

There are just misinformed just like my example of efi/carb, "analog shocks" are adjustable just by manually turning a knob/knobs, electronic shock adjust based on many parameters real time but both do the same thing. I developed replacement controllers for PASM systems that have those same track cars putting them back on. Most pro classes make it illegal because it can be an advantage to adjust a shock in 5msec. The point of this thread was a better ride the only way to have both is an active system or an analog shock with Moe riding under the hood.
