You will probably shed more weight just getting a muffler delete. It's not just how much material in being used. It's also how the piece is shaped and braced for different loads at the mounting points. If you are even asking these questions, IMO, you should not attempt it unless you are willing to learn how to not only design a piece like this but also fabricate it correctly. You're in the wrong forum for these question. Go ask the same questions in an engineering forum and see what they say. good luck
