You weren't mislead Katie, you were mis-informed. You don't have to change your head unit, you just didn't get the BeSpoke Audio upgrade, which includes the premium Nav. and a bunch of other goodies. It IS about 1200.00 installed at the dealership...its not a new unit, its just an additional unit that more or less bolts up with the stock unit. Its about the size of a clutch purse. It has to be installed, then a flash drive update on the software side usually needs done. It also requires a code for all updates...somewhere around 160.00, however, it being a new vehicle you shouldn't really require the updates if you're going to upgrade.

Honestly, you get yourself a nice dual-den head unti with nav. and a touch screen...like a Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. You're still going to be looking in the range of 1000.00, ALSO a lot more aggravation when you consider running the wires and mounting the GPS antenna.

I like the phone comment...I use mine for the GPS also.

I have the same head unit you do, and I work for Toyota as a tech for the last 10+ years. I'm not forking the money over for it either...not even with my employee discounts...
