Good post. I would also add that when taking off the first panel pictured(lowest panel under kneepad) just pull TOWARD you and don't be afraid to use force. For the ebrake, pull up on the silver ring through the shifter leather, it won't hurt the leather and there it's easier to start on the sides. It's necessary to unplug the traction control buttons before removing the shifter too.
Took me 3.5 hours, I got stuck a few times but nothing broke!
