From what I'm seeing in TTD with this platform, the air filter, and E85 are enough to put you over the Weight/HP ratio allowed (14.25 lbs: 1 HP)even with minimal weight reduction.
People are just doing the muffler delete to more easily hear the engine. Even without full exhaust, you'll have to tune down in order to stay legal.
The only reason I can see for a full exhaust, especially the header, may be in throttle response or to increase area under the curve.
So that's +2 on header and +1 on cat remove/replace - 3 points that might be used in suspension, tires or aero which I imagine will contribute to quicker times more-so than area under the curve.
But I'm just armchair mechanic-ing now....
