drift bar to increase airflow

Those of you that removed the stock bumper beam, has it helped with lowering temps? The more I research, it seems like air flow is the most important above all to keep temps down.

I'm looking at a few drift bar options, any user feed backs on them? Do they need to be welded on or are they plug and play?
