On a serious note, companies like bigger power gaps between models and it's difficult for salespeople to justify the extra cost of a V6 to a customer when the turbo 4 is almost the same power.

I don't know if the Hyundai dealers have adapted to their changing models, and (expected) changing market demographics. I think that's why the Japanese companies went with separate luxury brands. There is a massive gap between an Accent and a V8 Genesis sedan, as well as their potential customers, for example, but they are both sold at the same dealerships.
