I was fudging it a little, I was taking the 2ZZ to have 190hp and the Boxster to weigh more like 2980 (I always got the impression that Porsche's curb weights were quoted a bit low compared to Toyota at least based on what people weigh their cars to be, near base speced Porsche Boxsters seem to clock in at 3000lbs according to owners on Rennlist).

What can't be fudged though is the 0-60 time (I think traction isn't that big of an issue for any of these cars, I know the 981 can't spin its tires at a stop unless you do a huge clutch dump on an MT), the 981 does 0-60 in a bit under 5.5 sec, whereas the FRS will take 7 sec (and I think back when they first reviewed it they were getting 7.0s with big clutch dumps). 2ZZ Spyders can match the 0-60 of a 981. Even taking out a hypothetical traction advantage and then some, 6s vs 7s is a pretty solid difference.
