I'm confused how you can think 180hp in 2200lb (12.2lb/hp) is as fast as 265hp in 2900lb (11lb/hp). That's as big of a difference as there is between an FRS (13.5lb/hp) and a 180hp 2200lb car (which, as I just mentioned, is 12.2lb/hp). The higher horsepower car will get a bigger advantage at high speeds too.

As for this Miata? I like the new design. I'll be very curious to see (and test drive) one in person...
