Oh, I forgot to mention this. You should see the light-blue and purple lines in the graph. The light-blue lines show the front and the back of the FT-86, whereas the purple lines show the front and the back of the compared car. Hopefully that would give you some perspective in this comparison.

Since the cars are aligned to the front axel, one should look at the wheel base first and then the length for comparison. Using 370z as an example, since the wheel base is only 1 inch difference (101.2 vs 100.4), you should see that both wheels (front and back) are aligned pretty closed. Then if you look at the lengths (370z, 167.1" vs FT-86, 163.8"), you see that 370z is longer on both the front and the back. That means 370z has more overhang compared with FT-86.

Hopefully that clarifies the pictures.
