I'm a windows guy but you should be able to use "parallels" or "Vmware" to run windows stuff on a mac.

tuning software is not processor intensive so worst case just buy a el-cheapo netbook running windows for tuning stuff for probably less than $300 or what ever equivalent that is in pounds.

The openflash OFT guys run mac's

If your not going boosted the OFT is pretty hard to beat value wise
