Apparently you didn't read mine well either! I very clearly said "at MY dealership" and at no point said the rest of you were "wrong". Don't claim to know about "laws" on the subject but as the said at MY dealership. The buyer owns the original parts and is entitled to them. If you buy aftermarket rims/exhaust/springs/whatever next door to the dealer do you have to take the original back to them??????? Buying add on parts to replace stock parts at the dealership is no different then buying them someplace else. I didn't pay for the original parts in the stock price and extra for add ons just to have them keep the parts I paid for! Now if I ordered it at one price from the factory with optional parts or just upgraded without paying for a whole new part (and the labour to install it)that is a different matter.
Sorry you get ripped off in California and Maryland but by any reputable dealer should be giving you your parts. YOU PAID FOR THEM.
