LOL it's kind of a running joke, that maybe only a few old-timers still get. Last spring we did a drive, that I called, Last Chance to Drive The Most Dangerous Road in California.

It was a bit over-exaggerated but it was catchy and it helped us drum up a pretty decent attendance for the drive haha. And the Devil's Slide has now closed and was replaced by the far safer (but boring) Lantos Tunnels.
So... perhaps 2nd Most Dangerous is also an exaggeration for Mt. Hamilton, but at least this article puts it as #5 most dangerous in the Bay Area:
