Don't feel like reading the thread so I'll reiterate the point many have already made.

Most of us considered BMW for at least a minute but the cluster of reasons drove us away including but not limited to:

Design focus: the BMW is a luxury car and has all the weight and compliance built in to give the owner a 'luxurious ride' while the FRS is a sports car designed for driving performance
Used car = unknown history, 5k miles between high quality oil changes or 20k at jiffy lube?
Can you even find the car you want at a price you're willing to pay? Scion has them sitting on lots or you can wait a month or two for one delivered.

Sure there's other stuff but those are the big ticket dollars and sense bullet points, good luck.
