My car before my BRZ was a 135i with mods.
I traded it in for my BRZ because the warranty had ended, it was nearing 60k miles, and I was just waiting for something bad to happen, at which time it would have cost thousands.
BMW gives the impression you have money. Chicks dig guys with money.
As an enthusiast, my BRZ is a lot more fun to drive and much cheaper to modify (and subsequently repair if needed) than my 135 was. Cheaper to own and maintain.
Warranty would be the determining factor for me if considering the BMW because ANYTHING that happens will cost thousands to fix on the Beemer..
