Hey guys,
This might be really simple, but I'm a first-timer.
There's a 'ring' around the damper shaft that the perch sits on. But I noticed the perch has a groove cut in it which the 'ring' could fit in so it doesn't slide up and down.
But I could also see the spring, when installed, applying enough pressure that the perch just sits on the 'ring'. Do I need to remove the ring, install it in the perch, then slide it down? Or does the perch just rest on the ring, on damper?
EDIT: IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED with BILSTEIN USA that the spring seat sits on the ring.
