Well that's funny since the manual calls that part a "Fuel tank to filler pipe
hose" and the picture shows a hose clamp on either end of it.
cut & paste from the manual:
"13. Disconnecting the fuel tank to filler pipe hose
(1) Loosen the hose clamp, and disconnect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose."
