I'd suggest waiting until you get a job. My parents paid for my college, car/gas/insurance during school, etc. I had to pay for food and rent for my apartment senior year. It took my a year after graduating to get a job, and after I started work I had to pay for my own gas, food, insurance, etc but lived at home for a bit to save money. If I had to pay $300/month the year I was funemloyed, I wouldn't have been able to keep up. But if you're parents let you live at home until you get a job (mine did) and for a period of time after you start your job, go for it. But you'd be surprised how quick bills pop up once you start paying for things yourself; especially your own living expenses.
I'd suggest...
1) Wait until you get a job offer, and good luck on that front
2) Get at least the front bumper clear bra'd immediately.
3) Weathertech floor mats and trunk liner (the one from Subaru is great, just get a package with it)
4) Don't drive it in snow or ice with the stock tires.
