Im in a little bit of a similar situation, just not living at home. Id be selling my bike too.

Look at it this way-
You're only going to be without a family for a while, when that changes you're going to have to get a sedan or something bigger, enjoy single life while you still can.
If you do get it, worst case scenario and you get in a pickle, you can always resell it and downgrade back to a cheaper older car.
with a 50k job lined up you wont really have to worry about affording it as long as you don't do something stupid to get fired or quit (no offense to the previous poster who quit for 6 months, but probably would've lined up another job first before quitting). The only thing is that'll mean you won't really have much extra to spend on anything else, so chances of moving out of the parents are kind of slim… basically all about making compromises and taking some risks to gain some enjoyments...
