- sorry for the N00B question
SRF is structured rom format, it contains extra info about the rom not contained in the .hex or .bin format.

I am not familiar with the ecu mods changes but saving rom in .bin or hex will be fine the resulting file should be 1280k bytes , you need to save roms in .bin or .hex to be able to use romraider to edit roms as ecuflash is the only software that supports srf format.
