Having spent nearly a decade in MD, on the poor roads and belt ways, I'd probably get a new WRX instead of a BRZ. They're close in price. Something to consider.

Btw, compared to a 5 Series, the BRZ is spartan and has a jarring ride. You might want to see if CarMax has any E90 3 Series coupes you might like better too.

Oh, check your insurance rates too - some younger people on their parents' policy still pay hundreds per month for a new sports car. Also note that living in your parents' house, you'll probably want to cover their RE Taxes ($3k/yr? $6k? I don't know how expensive your house is...) and then any maintenance. Not talking about water heaters and AC units, but just simple stuff like lawn care, etc. The mortgage is only one part of the home ownership expense.

Btw, at 0% interest rates, it's better to put no money down and open a savings account that earns interest with the money earmarked for the car - well, except savings accounts don't really earn any interest, and anything that does give a decent return carries the risk of also losing money (stocks, etc).
