We have finally gotten around to posting some results on the Jackson Racing Supercharger Kit Tune we did versus the CARB tune provided by Jackson Racing, versus stock.

The Jackson Racing tune surprisingly is a good tune right out of the bag, though our customer did mention it had a very light hesitation under partial throttle, light load in the low to mid power band, 3000-4000 RPM. As mentioned by our customer we took it for a quick spin to replicate the issue and did notice it a bit, not a lot, but it was noticeable, so that was something we made sure to focus on.

So after the tune there really was not much room for improvement in power, but we did manage to get a few more horsepower on top and torque in the mid range on 91 octane. But I will say on 7 PSI there is only so much you can do to make power and wish there was more boost to make more power.

In any case we did manage to remove the hesitation issue the customer was speaking about by switching to a pure speed density tune and that allowed us to add FlexFuel into the tune very easily by using the MAF sensor voltage input. This keep installation of the FlexFuel kit easy (basically all you need to do is pop your hood and install) and that allows all your readiness monitors to complete properly for smog.

Cheers,
William Knose
