The write up on the site linked is pretty good.

I have a couple of issues with it but nothing major.

That statement is false. The stock pulley IS 100% a harmonic dampener. Period. End of that discussion.

NOW -- Was it put on the engine for the purpose of harmonic dampening by the engineers? or was it just put on there "because we already have a big box of them and they fit"?

THAT is the question that has never been answered to everyone's satisfaction.

And I have already been over the part where " rather they free up horsepower due to the reduction of rotational mass."
If you honesty think they make more than a .1% reduction in rotational inertia, then good luck with that. The belt contributes more than the pulley.

I have previously explained how changing your clutch pressure plate bolts from steel to titanium likely makes a BIGGER difference in rotational inertia than changing your pulley from 8lbs to 4lbs.
